As usual I am in trouble again.
I was trying to install ubuntu netmix on an Asus eeePC which abraham bought from US.
First I tried to boot from the USB disk and the first impression was Best!.
So we decided to install inside windows. But installation always failed with some messages like unable to get some meta url. I investigated the logs and found that in the last step wubi reports that it is not able to locate the ISO....
Any way I tried several options and here is the one which worked
1) I downloaded and configured Virual Drive Manager from microsoft's downloads
2) loaded the image (ubuntu netmix iso) to the virtual drive
3) downloaded the latest wubi.exe and run
Now everything went like a charm...
NOTE:
~ If you are installing from Windows Vista or Windows 7 run Virtual Drive Manager and wubi as Administrator.
~ wubi doc says keep the wubi and iso in the same folder will be enough, but this didn't worked for me , that is how decided try with a virtual drive
